VIII Russian-African Forum (RAF) was held on October 17-19, 2017 as a part of the international exhibition Infra Africa & Middle East Expo 2017 (Cairo, Egypt).
Russian-African Forum (RAF) gives Russian companies an opportunity to meet potential buyers of their goods and services among African manufacturing enterprises and government agencies, as well as present programs and export credits of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and Roseximbank aimed at supporting non-primary exports from The Russian Federation.
Along with the strengthening of Africa’s position in the world economic arena, the Russian Federation’s motivation for establishing bilateral cooperation is growing. African countries are interested in technologies and goods for small and medium-sized businesses in the energy sector, construction of infrastructure and industrial facilities, assistance in training, health care, mechanization of agriculture and raw materials processing, cooperation in digital technologies and communications, military cooperation .
Infra Africa & Middle East Expo 2017 — the largest international exhibition on the African continent, is held under the patronage of the Prime Minister of Egypt. The largest companies and officials from 40 countries of Africa and the Middle East take part in the exhibition. Infra — The only expo that gathers together all the infrastructure sectors relevant to the African market. Planned participation of more than 200 exhibitors at 15 000 sq. m of exhibition space. The exhibition got strong support from Egyptian public authorities and official African economic and industrial organizations with more than 15,000 participants.
